| Wow! It has been almost 3 months since I wrote in this thing! Well a lot has happened since March, and things have been busy but going great. Elliott and I are now certified scuba divers and I had a total blast in our classes, and getting our open water certification. The first is of our group who got certified together, and the other pics are of my girls that I had at camp this past week. We had a total blast, and so my girls now I heart all of you!! :) My girls were a fantastic group and we all had such a great time, and they are truly a blessing to me. Elliott is wonderful as always, and working real hard at his job. We have a the big Martin family reunion coming up at the end of June, and I am really excited to see my sister and her family. Some very exciting news is that Elliott and I are getting a puppy!!! She is a miniature long haired dachshund and her name is Gibson! She was born a few weeks ago, and she will be ready to picked up at the end of July. We are so excited about this new addition to our family! We will keep y'all posted!!!

| It has been way too long since I have written on this so I apologize. Things have been going really well in the Irby home and we have been keeping ourselves busy. This past weekend was the first one in a long time that Elliott and I would have the day to ourselves, so my wonderful husband had the great idea of going to the zoo. It was a gorgeous day and we had lots of fun. In the beginning we went into a facility that was an aquarium and Elliott and I saw the biggest catfish, and I am not kidding this thing was a beast, seriously, no joke. As I am gawking at this fish that is size of a toddler my native Louisiana husband leans over and says, "Man that would be a big PoBoy." Oh my word I laughed so hard. For those of you that don't know a PoBoy is a sandwich that has either catfish, shrimp, or cramb in them and Elliott loves them. As we move onto the next tank we see this huge black fish, again about the size of toddler, that has the shape of a goldfish cracker. Of coarse Elliott goes on ask that what if a goldfish cracker actually came in the size of this fish and how long do you think a person could live off of one? I am personally thinking yeah that's what you get for skipping breakfast this morning. This weekend I am co-hosting my first southern living party! Southern Living is an awesome magazine that sells household decore and items. I went to my first S.L. party in Feburary with my friend Annie and had a total blast, so we decided to host one together. I am really excited and hope that we have a good turn out. Other than that not a whole lot else is going on. Elliott and I did start up a couples bible study that we hold in our apartment on monday nights. I know what some of you are thinking, "but B'linda Heroes comes on on Monday nights." No worries Elliott and I are ever so faithful to out favorite TV show and we tape it. For those of you who have never seen it, bless your hearts and again no worries you can go to www.nbc.com and watch all of the episodes. Well I hope that all of my wonderful friends and family are doing well, and know that you are all greatly missed, and I look forward to seeing some of you very soon. -B-

Well next week Elliott and I will have been married for 4 months, and it has been a very eventful few months indeed. There has been flooding, car wrecks, broken arm, but most of all plenty of kicks and giggles. Elliott and I had our first Thanksgiving which we spent with his family, and then we went to my parents in San Antonio. When' we were in San Antonio and my dad took us to The Bullet Hole to shoot pistols, and of course we had to get a membership. :) So now I have a card in my wallet that says The Bullet Hole San Antonio's Friendliest place to shoot with a stick figure holding a gun. Yeah my family is so from Texas and I told my dad that I felt like James Bond and that I now had a liscense to shoot. hahahha! Good times!! Miss y'all and love ya lots | | |

| Ok, I know you are all like, "Hey B! Where are the pics you promised us?!" Well lets just say that we just now got our email up and running again, b/c we had a bit of flooding in our apartment. I know your thinking flooding? But they live on the third floor. WELL let me tell ya! So last thurs.(our first week in our apartment together) Elliott and I go to his parents house for dinner to say goodbye to his sister Sarah who is leaving the next to head out to Tennessee for school. We get home between 11-11:30pm, and as we are walking up to the apartment the couple in the apartment underneath us on the second floor fire alarm is going off, so we are thinking wow what going on. Then the guy your lives on the 1st floor underneath asks us if we live in 1313, and we are like yeah. He tells us that watering is leaking into their apartments form ours, and it was the water setting off the second floors fire alarm off. So we run up to the apartment and after I talk 3 steps into the apartment I am walking in 3 in.deep water. We run to the source and realize the picture frame hanging above the guest bathroom toilet fell off and broke the pipe, and water was flowing quite freely. The maitenance gets up there and turns our water off and then leaves. So Elliott and I am are standing water covering out feet, and I am like what do we do? The is deepest in the kitchen and so we start scooping up water with cups and pouring it into the sinks. Then we found out maitenance calls the apartments carpet guy who lives out in Katy (for those of you that don't know that can be a 30-45 min. drive from where we live), and he gets to our place sometime past midnight. Luckily our master bedroom didn't get that wet, but then we had to move ALL of our things that were on floor (except our dinning room table, chairs, couch, TV stand) into our bedroom and closet. The guy was there 'til 2am pulling up our carpet to get the padding our from underneath and vacuuming up as much water as possible. They left us the HUGE van thing to help dry out the carpet, and it wasn't until yesterday that they were able to put all the padding back in, fix the carpet, and Elliott and I were able to clear out our bedroom. So that has been my first week and half back home from the honeymoon. Kicks and giggles friends, kicks and giggles. -B- | | |
